Volleyball Recap: Wauseon Indians vs. Bowling Green Bobcats

Wauseon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bowling Green Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Wauseon started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-11.

Marin Leatherman paced Wauseon's offense, picking up 12 kills. Leatherman got some help from Braelyn Rupp and her 13 assists. Addison Fisher controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Bowling Green found their leader in sophomore Kendall Siville, who had five digs and two aces. Siville has been hot, having also posted 13 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Wauseon's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Bowling Green, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-14.

Looking ahead, Wauseon will face off against Bryan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bowling Green, they will take on Springfield at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
