The Choudrant Aggies will head out to face off against the St. Frederick Warriors at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Choudrant barely beat Downsville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Aggies were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Demons on Thursday. The Aggies not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 18th.

Colton Smith was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Choudrant is 4-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 7-13 otherwise. Smith was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

In other batting news, Rhett James was a standout: he scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Wade Watson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Frederick). They never let Delta Charter get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

ANTHONY JACKSON looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, WILLIAM PATRICK was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. ALEX TONOROE was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

St. Frederick always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

St. Frederick pushed their record up to 13-13 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Choudrant, their record now sits at 11-14.

Choudrant might still be hurting after the 13-0 defeat they got from St. Frederick when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can the Aggies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
