Softball Recap: Marshfield Comes Up Short

Marshfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 13-2 to the Junction City Tigers. The Pirates were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Braelynn Lincoln-Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Marshfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15-1. As for Junction City, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-11.

While Marshfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
