Football Game Preview: Osceola Warriors vs. St. Petersburg Green Devils + Official Tickets

The Osceola Warriors will challenge the St. Petersburg Green Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Osceola's defense has only allowed 14.1 points per game this season, so St. Petersburg's offense will have their work cut out for them.

St. Petersburg will be up against a hot Osceola squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Warriors simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Countryside 36-7. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 26 points or more this season.

Brandt Scott had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 161 yards on only 15 carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Osceola's defense and their four sacks. Dustin Martin was especially locked on to Countryside's QB and sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 31 points the game before, St. Petersburg was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a blow against Calvary Christian, falling 39-7. The Green Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-0.

Osceola will have to contain Thomas Grizzard as he made an impact in St. Petersburg's last game. He picked up 111 receiving yards and one TD. Grizzard was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 69 yards.

St. Petersburg has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Osceola, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Osceola suffered a grim 36-15 defeat to St. Petersburg in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Warriors, Jeffery Jones (who rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
