Boerne-Champion has been away from home for two games now, but on Friday they'll finally make their return. They will welcome the Seguin Matadors at 7:00 p.m.

Boerne-Champion is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Smithson Valley just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They were outmatched by the Rangers on the road and fell 42-10. The loss was the Chargers' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Seguin was able to grind out a solid victory over Victoria East on Friday, taking the game 37-30. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Matadors.

A big part of Seguin's win came down to the chemistry between Corey Dailey and his top target Nik Henry. Dailey threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns while Henry picked up 142 receiving yards and two touchdowns. What's more, Henry also racked up 18 rushing yards, the mosthe's had since back in September of 2023.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Seguin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 227 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Seguin wouldn't let Victoria East keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Seguin can thank Dylan Eisen-Sepeda and Jared Rogers for forcing both of them.

Having lost for the first time this season, Boerne-Champion fell to 3-1. As for Seguin, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
