Softball Recap: East Surry Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

East Surry's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Alleghany Trojans 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won three contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

East Surry's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1. As for Alleghany, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Surry will welcome West Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be East Surry's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Alleghany, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Stokes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
