Soccer Game Preview: Combs vs. Westview

The Combs Coyotes are taking a road trip to square off against the Westview Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Combs' last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Combs will bounce into Friday's game after beating Dysart, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Combs came out on top in a nail-biter against Dysart on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2. Nathan Alvarez had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Coyotes.

Meanwhile, Westview had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 3-1. While the Knights didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Combs' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four matches. As for Westview, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
