Baseball Game Preview: Holliday Eagles vs. Henrietta Bearcats

Holliday is 9-1 against Henrietta since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Holliday Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Henrietta Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. The last four games Holliday has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Holliday beats Henrietta with two runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Holliday beat Henrietta on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. Michael Stewart spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Steele Skinner, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He also launched a home run, marking his first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Henrietta and nudges their season record down to 7-8-1. As for Holliday, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5-2.
