Softball Recap: Hendrickson Takes a Loss

Hendrickson and Bastrop squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Hendrickson had to settle for second. They lost 14-2 to the Bears. The loss continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost six in a row.

Isabella Gonzales made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Hendrickson's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11-1. As for Bastrop, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7-2 record this season.

While Hendrickson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
