Soccer Recap: Gateway Gets the Win

Gateway's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past the Lehigh Lightning 2-1. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lightning, too.

Gateway pushed their record up to 9-3-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Lehigh, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gateway will be home for the holidays to greet Palmetto Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lehigh, they will host Cypress Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
