Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gilbert). They put the hurt on the Higley Knights with a sharp 8-1 victory on Monday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Tigers with their most commanding win of the season.

Their offense was hitting Higley from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. ARTA GOLSHAN led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The win (which was Gilbert's third in a row) raised their record to 9-6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three contests. As for Higley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Gilbert has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Highland on the 7th. As for Higley, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Williams Field on the 7th.
