Recap: West Broward Bobcats vs. Monarch Knights
The West Broward Bobcats were the 45-28 winner over the Monarch Knights when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. West Broward fell 57-49 to Monarch on Friday.
Monarch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cody Dinnall, who scored 16 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Dinnall also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Samari Reed, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
West Broward has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Monarch, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Broward will take on Flanagan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Flanagan is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Monarch, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Northeast at 7:30 p.m. Northeast presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Monarch in Florida (Northeast is ranked 65th, while Monarch is ranked 403rd).
