Softball Recap: Bolton's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Bolton fell victim to Cromwell and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Abbie Gravel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bolton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reagan Rosenberg, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
