Softball Recap: Wahama Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Wahama entered their tilt with Poca on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Dots with a sharp 10-2 win. The result was nothing new for the White Falcons, who have now won nine games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Audrey Reynolds, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Zoie Mayes also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Wahama's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.1 runs on average over those games. As for Poca, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Wahama will host Hoover at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Poca, they are taking a road trip to take on Braxton County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Dots are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
