Volleyball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

If Monroe was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Chavez on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Poly Parrots on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Parrots: they've now lost five in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-14, 25-21.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Poly, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-8-1.

Poly has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Chavez on the 15th. Hopefully Monroe paid attention to the Parrots' matchup: the next time they hit the court , they'll take on the Parrots at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
