Football Recap: Lakes Lancers vs. White River Hornets
Lakes extended their home winning streak to six games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Toetu Moliga. The Lakes Lancers simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the White River Hornets 52-0 thanks in part to Moliga, who rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 115 rushing yards.
Sentoa Leapai was another major influence, as he rushed for 38 yards and ran in a TD. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending a pass.
Lakes wouldn't let White River keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Tristan Baker, Tayvion Smith, and Amidjah Dilworth picked up one apiece.
Lakes' win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for White River, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
As of now, neither Lakes nor White River have any future games scheduled.
