Soccer Game Preview: Mukwonago vs. Madison East

The Mukwonago Indians will venture away from home to challenge the Madison East Purgolders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mukwonago's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Mukwonago and Sun Prairie East finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The outcome might've been different if Annie Gilbert hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Meanwhile, Madison East had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Bluejays get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Madison East's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Madison East's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. With that draw, Mukwonago's record moves to 1-0-2.
