Baseball Recap: Potomac School Panthers vs. St. Albans Bulldogs
Potomac School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Albans Bulldogs. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in April of 2017.
Wyatt Pence made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Potomac School's record is now 0-4. As for St. Albans, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Potomac School will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Friends' Central at 6:30 p.m. on March 24th. As for St. Albans, they will challenge Avon Park at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Avon Park's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so St. Albans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
