Basketball Recap: Kelliher/Northome's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Kelliher/Northome had won two straight games and Kate Thayer did her part to make it three on Monday. The Kelliher/Northome Mustangs blew past the Red Lake Warriors 98-12 thanks to Thayer, who dropped a triple-double with 20 points, 11 boards, and 11 steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 45 times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kenna Latterell, who posted eight points and three steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Kelliher/Northome's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Red Lake, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Kelliher/Northome didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 95-39 victory against Littlefork-Big Falls on the 4th. As for Red Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-58 loss against Laporte on the 6th.
