Softball Game Preview: Fleming County Panthers vs. Elliott County Lions

Fleming County has gone a perfect 5-0 against Elliott County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. Fleming County is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Fleming County's last matchup with Bracken County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Panthers lost 7-1 to the Polar Bears.

Fleming County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Black, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Elliott County duked it out with Floyd Central on Friday. The Lions fell 5-1 to the Jaguars. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Elliott County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Fleming County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Fleming County took their victory against Elliott County in their previous matchup back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
