Softball Recap: American Fork Comes Up Short

American Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 9-6 to the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Cavemen have lost by exactly three runs.

Kennedy McKinney was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Sarah Jensen, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

American Fork now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Gunnison Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.

Looking ahead, American Fork will face off against Emery at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gunnison Valley, they will take on Desert Hills in a tournament on Saturday. The Thunder will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
