Volleyball Recap: Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Takes a Loss

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sickles Gryphons. If the Hurricanes were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Gryphons when the teams met back in October of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Audrey Arciniega paced Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's offense, picking up ten kills. Arciniega got some help from Mackenziee Graf and her 11 assists.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Sickles, they moved to 6-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Land O' Lakes on the 20th. As for Sickles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Robinson on the 20th.
