Basketball Game Preview: Hebron Hawks vs. Boone Grove Wolves

The Hebron Hawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Boone Grove Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Saturday, Hebron didn't have too much trouble with West Central as they won 73-56.

Hebron's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Spencer Wynsma led the charge by putting up 28 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The contest was Wynsma's ninth in a row with at least 16 points. Peter Socci was another key player, going 7-for-9 en route to 22 points.

Meanwhile, Boone Grove didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Calumet New Tech on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 61-55 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Hebron's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points over those games. As for Boone Grove, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Everything came up roses for Hebron against Boone Grove in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured an 80-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hebron since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
