Baseball Recap: George Washington Takes a Loss

If George Washington was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Science Leadership Academy at Beeber last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles lost 13-1 to Boys' Latin Charter on Wednesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Boys' Latin Charter apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

George Washington's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-4. As for Boys' Latin Charter, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, George Washington and Tacony Academy Charter will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:15 p.m. on the 21st. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Boys' Latin Charter, they will take on Constitution at 3:15 p.m. on the 25th.
