Softball Game Preview: Bonneville Lakers vs. East Leopards

For the second straight game, Bonneville will face off against East. The Lakers will head out on the road to face off against the Leopards at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Bonneville has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bonneville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out East 13-11. The Lakers haven't had any issues with the Leopards recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Marley Chournos was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee McAfee, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Bonneville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

East moved to 17-11 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Bonneville, their win bumped their record up to 8-16.
