Cox is 8-2 against Ocean Lakes since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Falcons will square off against the Dolphins at 11:00 a.m. The last four games Cox has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Cox is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Independence. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by just one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ocean Lakes). Everything went their way against Riverbend on Friday as they made off with a 17-10 win. The Dolphins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 games by six runs or more this season.

Aiden Skalski tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

On the hitting side, Ocean Lakes got a massive performance out of Ryan Gocio, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Brady Nagle, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Ocean Lakes, bringing their record up to 20-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Cox, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Cox couldn't quite finish off Ocean Lakes in their previous meeting last Tuesday and fell 3-1. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
