Football Recap: Cheyenne Desert Shields vs. Mojave Rattlers

Cheyenne and Mojave squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cheyenne had to settle for second. They lost 32-8 to the Mojave Rattlers. The Desert Shields haven't had much luck with the Rattlers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

A big part of Mojave's win came down to the chemistry between Mark Ames and his top target S'Marrion Coleman. Ames rushed for 39 yards and a touchdown while Coleman picked up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown. Those 39 rushing yards gave Ames a new career-high.

Cheyenne now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Mojave, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
