Softball Recap: Terry Comes Up Short

Terry lost to Little Cypress-Mauriceville back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rangers lost 10-4 to the Bears. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Rangers, who until this game were averaging 4.1 runs allowed.

Angela De La Cruz made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Terry and nudges their season record down to 5-3-2. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Coming up, Terry will square off against Giddings at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buffaloes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.67 runs per game on average), something the Rangers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, they have already played their next contest, a 4-1 win against Randle on the 19th.
