Softball Recap: Tharptown Takes a Loss

Tharptown pushed their score to five the last time they played Belgreen, but on Saturday they couldn't quite do it again. Tharptown fell just short of Belgreen by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 14-5 defeat last Friday.

Tharptown has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. The win (which was Belgreen's fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-10.

Tharptown didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-4 victory against Red Bay on the 29th. As for Belgreen, they will venture away from home to challenge Lindsay Lane Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
