Pueblo County is 8-2 against Pueblo Central since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Hornets will welcome the Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. Pueblo County will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Pueblo County proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Pueblo South 5-4.

The team relied heavily on Nick Hernandez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Blake Swift was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Pueblo Central's offense. They lost 8-0 to Falcon on Tuesday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Pueblo County's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Pueblo Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-1.

Pueblo County beat Pueblo Central 10-6 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
