Basketball Game Preview: Cambridge Bears vs. Centennial Knights

Cambridge hasn't had much luck against Centennial recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cambridge Bears will be playing at home against the Centennial Knights at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

If Cambridge beats Centennial with 68 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Cambridge sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 68-66 win over Westminster on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Centennial). They blew past Blessed Trinity, posting an 85-47 victory. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

Cambridge is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
