Football Recap: Redmond Comes Up Short

Redmond extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They had to suffer through a 49-14 loss at the hands of the Hazen Highlanders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 55-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Hazen, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their ten-point performance the contest before.

A big part of Hazen's victory came down to the chemistry between Braylon Glaefke and his top target Eden Gibert. Glaefke rushed for 94 yards and two TDs while Gibert gained 157 total yards.

Redmond will challenge Newport - Bellevue at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hazen, they will face off against Renton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Highlanders will be up against the Red Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.17 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
