Basketball Recap: Neptune Drops Season-High Score on Allentown

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Neptune). They breezed by the Allentown Redbirds to the tune of 75-32 on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Scarlet Fliers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Neptune's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christa Ramos led the charge by putting up 12 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. That's the most steals Ramos has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Lana Ellington, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 14 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Neptune smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Neptune's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Allentown, they dropped their record down to 4-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Neptune will take on Jackson Memorial at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Allentown, they will challenge Trenton Central at 5:30 p.m. on February 10th.
