Softball Recap: King Comes Up Short

King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Tampa Bay Tech Titans, falling 24-12. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Titans from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

King saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Ramirez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Even though they lost, King always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

King's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Tampa Bay Tech, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

King didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-3 defeat against Gaither on the 27th. Tampa Bay Tech has also already played their next match (against Hillsborough), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
