Baseball Game Preview: Conrad Weiser Scouts vs. Pottsville Crimson Tide

The Conrad Weiser Scouts will challenge the Pottsville Crimson Tide at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Conrad Weiser has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 18.

Conrad Weiser fell victim to Twin Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 8-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pottsville). They put the hurt on Jim Thorpe with a sharp 11-4 victory on Saturday. The Crimson Tide haven't had any issues with the Olympians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Luke Schane was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Schane was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alan Kushwarra, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Brody Eroh was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.

Pottsville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jim Thorpe only managed six hits.

Pottsville's victory bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Conrad Weiser, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.
