Basketball Game Preview: Southlake Carroll Dragons vs. Bell Blue Raiders

Southlake Carroll and Bell are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Southlake Carroll Dragons are taking a road trip to take on the Bell Blue Raiders at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Bell will be up against a hot Southlake Carroll squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. Southlake Carroll came out on top against Northwest by a score of 55-44 on Friday. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Texans are ranked 708th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bell strolled past Keller Central with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-37. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Raiders.

Southlake Carroll pushed their record up to 20-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Bell, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-11.

Southlake Carroll came up short against Bell in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 45-35. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bell's Madi Capers, who went 11 for 12 on her way to 24 points and six boards.
