Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hutchison). They skirted past the Nikiski Bulldogs 55-52. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Hawks as it put an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Hutchison's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Nikiski, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Hutchison will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Delta at 7:30 p.m. on February 12th. As for Nikiski, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 75-49 loss against Tikigaq on the 4th.
