Volleyball Game Preview: Cypress Ranch Mustangs vs. Byron Nelson Bobcat

The Cypress Ranch Mustangs will challenge the Byron Nelson Bobcat on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cypress Ranch comes in on six and Byron Nelson on 76.

Cypress Ranch is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Grand Oaks.

Meanwhile, Byron Nelson faced Plano East in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Bobcat put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Cypress Ranch better keep an eye on Savannah Sterna. She was instrumental in Byron Nelson's win, getting 20 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Sterna has posted since back in October. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Francis, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Cypress Ranch's record now sits at 39-8. As for Byron Nelson, their record is now 40-0.

Cypress Ranch couldn't quite get it done against Byron Nelson when the teams last played back in August of 2018 as they fell 2-0. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
