Baseball Game Preview: Ridgefield Spudders vs. Columbia River Rapids

The Ridgefield Spudders will head out to face off against the Columbia River Rapids at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Ridgefield beats Columbia River with 12 runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Spudders beat Hudson's Bay on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spudders.

Meanwhile, Columbia River entered their tilt with Washougal on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Panthers a 2-0 shutout.

Ridgefield's record now sits at 7-5. As for Columbia River, their record is now 6-2.

Ridgefield couldn't quite get it done against Columbia River in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Spudders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
