Volleyball Game Preview: Emerald Aerouants vs. Deer Valley Wolverines

After both having extra time off, the Emerald Aerouants and the Deer Valley Wolverines will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Emerald turned things around against Pittsburg on Wednesday. They skirted past the Pirates 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Aerouants have posted since September 9th.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Emerald got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 18-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Deer Valley got the win against Antioch last Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-14.

Emerald's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Deer Valley, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Emerald was able to grind out a solid victory over Deer Valley in their previous meeting back in September, winning 2-0. Will the Aerouants repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
