Baseball Game Preview: Lower Moreland Lions vs. Springfield Township Spartans

The Lower Moreland Lions will head out to challenge the Springfield Township Spartans at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Lower Moreland came up short against Bensalem on Saturday, falling 10-3. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lower Moreland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eddie Weber, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Springfield Township didn't have quite enough to beat Dock Mennonite on Saturday and fell 5-4. The loss was the Spartans' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Springfield Township fell to 3-1. As for Lower Moreland, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Lower Moreland beat Springfield Township 5-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
