While Ansonia's victory against Holy Cross wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chargers skirted past the Crusaders 28-26. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Despite the loss, Holy Cross still got an impressive performance from Brady Lombardo, who threw for 243 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in two TDs on the ground.

Ansonia's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-2. As for Holy Cross, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Ansonia and Woodland Regional will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Chargers will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Holy Cross, they will square off against Crosby at 6:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
