Soccer Recap: Cape Hatteras Takes a Loss

Cape Hatteras was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bear Grass Charter Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cape Hatteras of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Cape Hatteras' defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Bear Grass Charter, their win bumped their record up to 3-5-1.

Looking ahead, Bear Grass Charter will face off against Farmville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cape Hatteras will be paying especially close attention to the Bears' match: after the Bears faces off against Tarboro, they'll take on Cape Hatteras again at 4:00 p.m. on May 5.
