Baseball Game Preview: Antioch Panthers vs. Kimball Jaguars

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Antioch Panthers take on Kimball Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Antioch's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Kimball's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Antioch proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let El Cerrito get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Not much got past Arjen Ruiz Real, who gave up just two hits to keep El Cerrito off the board.

On the hitting side, Antioch's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Borunda, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Kimball came up short against Gregori on Tuesday, falling 11-3. Kimball has struggled against Gregori recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Kimball now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Antioch, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Antioch skirted past Kimball 7-6 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Will Antioch repeat their success, or does Kimball have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
