They weren't the only good servers: Magnolia Science Academy Carson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 36 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Brio College Prep beat Legacy College Prep 3-1 on Friday.
Brio College Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 10-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-22.
Brio College Prep's win came from a few key players Magnolia Science Academy Carson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Leslie Aguayo, who had nine aces. Another player making a difference was Kathie Chora, who had nine aces and eight kills.
Brio College Prep's record now sits at 10-0. As for Magnolia Science Academy Carson, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
