Basketball Recap: New Creation Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Peachtree Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Creekside Christian Academy, New Creation Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging an 85-46 victory over the Peachtree Academy Panthers. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Crusaders as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Peachtree Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Julian Baluta, who went 8 for 13 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. Jordi Bello was another key player, putting up six points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks.

New Creation Christian Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Peachtree Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

New Creation Christian Academy will take on Victory Baptist in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Creation Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Victory Baptist likes a good challenge. Peachtree Academy and Scholars Guild Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Peachtree Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.
