Basketball Recap: Midlothian Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Midlothian entered their tilt with Terrell on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 53-37 victory over the Terrell Tigers. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Tigers are ranked 733rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Defeat or not, Terrell got some senior leadership from Aubree Tate and Markeita Shaw. Tate posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and four steals, while Shaw earned four points along with 14 boards and four steals. That's the most steals Tate has posted since back in November of 2024.

Midlothian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-13. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Terrell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-21.
