Basketball Game Preview: Lake Region Christian Hornets vs. Fourth Baptist Christian Warriors

Lake Region Christian hasn't had much luck against Fourth Baptist Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lake Region Christian Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Fourth Baptist Christian Warriors at 5:15 p.m.

Lake Region Christian is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Thursday. They lost 53-32 to Chisago Lakes Baptist. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Despite the loss, Lake Region Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Aleah DeVries posted seven points and five steals. DeVries has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Blair Alquist was another key player, putting up five points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Fourth Baptist Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Friday. They walked away with a 38-31 victory over Lake Region Christian. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors who have now won seven games in a row dating back to last season.

Lake Region Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Fourth Baptist Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Lake Region Christian came up short against Fourth Baptist Christian in their previous meeting last Friday, falling 38-31. Can Lake Region Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
