Basketball Recap: Hampton Roads Academy Triumphs

Hampton Roads Academy won the last time they faced Summit Christian Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Hampton Roads Academy Navigators managed a 43-37 win over the Summit Christian Academy Eagles.

Despite the defeat, Summit Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Courtland Reiter dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. Another player making a difference was Cole Miller, who posted two points in addition to six boards and three blocks.

Hampton Roads Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Summit Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hampton Roads Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Isle of Wight Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Summit Christian Academy also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Grove Christian School at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
