Baseball Recap: Mount Vernon Christian Comes Up Short

Mount Vernon Christian was the 14-0 winner over Friday Harbor when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mount Vernon Christian's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 10-4. As for Friday Harbor, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

While Mount Vernon Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
